Our journey, partnerships, and relentless pursuit of engineering excellence have culminated in the development of our flagship product, the true North CR1000 Vehicle Turret.
The TrueNorth CR1000, a versatile weapon station designed to equip various military vehicles, stands as a testament to our commitment to creating reliable, adaptable, and efficient defence solutions. Tested on the battlefield by Canadian and Coalition forces, the CR1000 boasts an armour shield offering variable protection levels up to STANAG Level 3. This robust system is compatible with Light, General Purpose, and Heavy Machine Guns as well as 40mm Grenade Machine Guns, ensuring a broad range of tactical applications.
Crafted with a cost-effective, lightweight, and modular design, the CR1000 promises easy integration and installation, lowering maintenance requirements and simplifying logistics. Furthermore, its advanced Electric Drive (eDrive) and Minigun capabilities, along with the option for twin weapons compatibility, offer unparalleled adaptability and power, catering to specific operational needs. The ease of swapping components and the effortless installation or removal of the GPK top plate ensure that maintenance and repair processes are as straightforward as possible, reducing downtime and improving operational efficiency.
JRoberts Manufacturing Inc. partnered with Daimler in 2004, through its Canadian division Mercedes-Benz Canada, to contribute to the Light Utility Vehicle Wheeled (LUVW) project. This partnership saw the successful delivery and continual in-service support of the G-Wagon for the Canadian Forces.
JRoberts saw this partnership as an opportunity to go beyond the conventional. We proactively engineered an improved turret for the LUVW vehicle, driving major improvements in gunner safety and serviceability. This endeavour saw over 400 upgraded weapon stations remanufactured and delivered by 2011, highlighting our commitment to innovation and improvement.
Today, we continue to uphold this commitment, offering design upgrades, manufacturing, and overhaul services to the LUVW's turret assembly. Our dedication to crafting superior solutions and our unwavering focus on quality, efficiency, and reliability have positioned JRoberts as a trusted partner and leader in the defence industry.

We've made the hatch door weightless, significantly enhancing the speed and ease with which it can be opened and closed. This modification has drastically expedited the process of entering and exiting the vehicle, giving the operator a vital edge in the field.

Roller bearings, fitted with stainless steel wear plates and bearings for enhanced durability. Crafted from superior Delrin AF, the rollers are equipped with stainless steel pins, facilitating faster and smoother rotations.

Improving durability, we've implemented zinced hardware and weather-resistant bearings. All turret components feature a high-grade coating for added corrosion resistance, adhering to stringent MIL-STD specifications.

The turret allows for a wide variety of weapons mounting, providing adaptability to various operational scenarios. With transparent gunner's shields and armour both achieving a Stanag level 1 rating, safety is ensured without sacrificing visibility. Light weight and durable, it achieves a Stanag level 2 rating for its easily operated hatch door. Minimal moving parts enhance maintainability in the field, while its resistance to corrosion is in accordance with MIL-STD.

Enhanced Reliability &
Strength

Designed with threaded inserts in the top plate and bearing, ensuring secure and sturdy mounting. We’ve strengthened areas of high use such as HTM lock and gunner's seat sling mounts to guarantee a safer and more secure operation.

Modifications such as wider-angle GPK guards and a rapid door operation mechanism bolster safety and efficiency.

Interchangeable components, allows the HTM to be mounted with ease on either side, facilitating separate installation or removal of the GPK top plate. This adaptability ensures a flexible system that can be customised per the mission requirements.
