DESCRIPTION

We are hiring a body shop technician to work with the MRO (Mechanical Repair and Overhaul) team providing in-service support to a military ground fleet. You would be responsible for repairing and overhauling the bodies of military ground vehicles. This may include tasks such as repairing or replacing damaged or worn parts, welding and fabricating new parts, and performing painting and refinishing work.

REQUIREMENTS

AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with training or certification in automotive body repair and painting.

• Experience: Significant experience in automotive body repair, including experience with welding, fabricating, and painting. Experience working with military ground vehicles is a plus.

• Technical knowledge: Good understanding of the body structures and components used in military ground vehicles, including armor, hatches, doors, and other parts.

• Repair skills: Ability to diagnose problems, repair or replace damaged or worn parts, and perform painting and refinishing work to restore vehicles to their original condition.

• Welding and fabrication skills: Ability to weld and fabricate new parts as needed, using both manual and automated welding equipment.

• Attention to detail: Ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring that all repair and painting work is performed to the highest standards.

• Communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, including technicians and engineers, to ensure that projects are executed effectively.

• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including working with new equipment and technologies and in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

• Physical ability: Ability to lift and move heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
